Who would have thought?!

I’m one of those ‘midnight great ideas’ people. I will always plan how perfectly my life will go, how super organised I’ll be and I’m especially good at finding random apps or ideas that will fix my mental health or make me fit in the middle of the night. Needless to say, I fail to come through with 99.9% of those ideas.....

C5K has been that 0.1%!

I’m only on W6R1. I took a big break for 6 weeks or so (work was manic and I lost motivation) but I got back on the bandwagon. I nearly had an aneurism when I saw W5R3 😅 BUT I made it through without stopping. LEGENDARY. I even ran on my holiday in the states with a lottle more than a little help from my awesome partner in crime (see picture).

So here’s to actually pulling through with ideas that genuinely make a difference. My mental health improves after every run, I crave good food and want to make positive changes.

I rewarded myself with new sports clothes for getting half way. I cannot wait for those bright, flashy new trainers at the finish line 😍👟

My next goal is finding Runner’s Peace. So my question to you all: Do you have it? How did you get it? Any tips to help me find it?

Huge well done... and how awesome, that C25K is delivering not only physical, but mental fitness too...:)

You have certainly embraced the programme.

Runner's Peace....?

Well If I am interpreting what you, mean by that....Just check my past posts... I do have it... It came to me in the dark, cold and wet early mornings of a UK Winter....and despite everything that the world and life throws at me; it has been a loyal companion and never left me:)

Only you can find your Peace..only you know what your reasons, the deep and ingrained reasons, for starting this were; however, my tips would be;

Take all that is associated with the running, slowly and steadily.

Take the good days and the bad days, accept both.

Learn from and don't agonise, over the bad days....learn and then move on.

Challenge only yourself, compare yourself to no one.

Celebrate every single run, and what that run has and is giving you.

For me, if I had to choose what gives me the greatest contentment?

It is the simple fact that I run, because I can, and that fills me with pure joy.

They do but I don’t feel they’re unachievable. I just kept my pace nice and easy
