20 minutes. Who would have thought?

Well that's the big one done. The one I thought I would really struggle with when I first started. I slowed my pace down a little from my most recent outings, but still the first 5 minutes or so felt tough. Then I got a bit of a rhythm, didn't go too fast and kept going. I was still going when told you have 2 minutes left. I did start to get a stitch near the end - How do you avoid those? - but I kept on and then it was done. Back to running and walking next week, which some have said is difficult, but let's see. This programme really is quite amazing. There is no way I could have done what I did tonight 6 weeks ago. Who knows what I can achieve in another 6 weeks.

You did it and isn't it a great feeling! 20 whole minutes of running! I found week 6 hard. Going back to walk run seemed to play havoc with my legs but once you get through that you get to run continuously which I preferred in the end. I don't tend to get stitch anymore. I always drink a glass of water before I run and when I did get stitch I used to take really big deep breaths which seemed to help. Good luck with the rest of the programme. 😊

Thanks. Hopefully next week will be fine. No reason to think not. It's been a fab programme so far.

Well done Cgar, yes to do 20 mins is a great feeling,I have found week 6 quite difficult but hasn't been a great week for me anyway so that maybe the reason it was difficult.
