I know I need to do this but what if I can't do it? What if I start and can't get back home? What if I get so breathless I go all dizzy? What about my mum, housebound at home, if anything happens to me? What if it makes my knees hurt even more?
I know I'm obese with high bp and painful knees. I'm also 65, sole unpaid carer for my mum, 90, who's housebound after a stroke and has acute heart failure. I have little or no support from family who are 100s of miles away and I'm very lonely.
Couch to 5k is obviously what I need so why does it terrify me? Answers on a postcard please, lol.
Meanwhile I'm off to download the app, unbox the fitbit thingy that's been in the cupboard for a least six months and gather all my determination. Wish me luck.

Dear Soldreive, look in the mirror, reassure the frightened child you have inside and tell him that there is a nice world out there to have fun and that continue with the c25k program is only good for you. I understand giù because even my inner child is often afraid and I must cuddle. kisses
Take a phone 👍 All of life is out there We have to go out. We can’t spend our lives thinking “should I” or “what if”.
C25k is gentle and it’s fun. No sweat, no hurry, no pressure. It’s flamin good though 💪🙂👍🏃♀️
You CAN do it. It isn't a race or a competition and there are no prizes for running instead of walking at the start. Being out there and getting some exercise is the important thing.
I would suggest that you pop along to the doctors to have a quick chat about your intentions. They should be able to check and reassure you.
Also, may I suggest that you look at this video? My absolute favourite about running.
