Starting again.....

Started back at the beginning again this week. Today was wk1r2. Last time, literally 2 weeks ago I got to week 8 but then I pulled a muscle in my leg causing a lot of pain just walking. By the time it was feeling better I'd kind of lost my mojo and just knew that to carry on at week 8 ( with a 28 min run) would end in disaster. I'd not missed a single run up until then. So to get the positive vibe back I'm back at wk1.

Was none too pleasant this morning jumping out of a very cosy bed and out into a pretty chilly and damp outside world but it's feeling good to be getting on with it.😊

I think you’ve made a good call. A pulled muscle as we call it is actually a slight tear and will need some TLC to strengthen it again. You’ll also be a stronger runner by the end.

I started running beginning of may. C25K so got up to 5K, did first 5K race in start of July, week after pulled a muscle in my back getting out of the car!!

Had 6 weeks of physio before being discharged. She said I could start light jogging. So decided best option was to start from scratch. Tomorrow I'm up to week 2 run 1

Good luck
