To run or not to run

Hey all.

I’m supposed to be running my week 3 day 2 tomorrow evening after work (last run on Sunday). But I’m not sure what to do as tonight I did my Zumba class and really lacked energy. Almost as soon as I’d started my legs (lower outsides) started really aching again (they have been doing this during/after runs). My body is really tired and achy now. ☹️

Any advice appreciated

It won’t hurt to take an extra rest day... it’s an intense programme and maybe it’s caught up with you a little... see how you feel at run time, and don’t go if you know it’s not there... but if it is, use it and run.

See how you feel tomorrow. Absolutely take an extra rest day if you need it, it won’t do any harm, but wait and see if a night’s sleep helps.

Zumba can be too intense? Maybe you need an easier form of exercise along side C25K.

Have you had any affects with zumba before? If so you may need medical advice. I did wk3 day1 yesterday; cant wait for tmorrow.

I decided to take an extra rest day. My body and mind is so tired and I don’t want to pick myself so much that I give up or stop because I cant physically do it. I don’t think it’s the Zumba as I’ve been doing that for longer than running, also i ran last week the morning after Zumba. I think I’m just extra tired. I’m going to pick it up on Friday and hope it goes ok.
