I am proud that I made it through week 1, and even enjoyed it. Well enjoyed the feeling afterwards at least.
I took this weekend off running and even got the pangs of missing it. How crazy is that!!!! From dreading it to missing it in one week.
Mind...blown!
This morning I went for my first run of week two. 90 seconds running has never felt so long but I did it, and I was fist punching the air in delight each time Jo Whiley told me I’d completed that one!
I have also started Slimming world last week so hoping the combination of both these things show on the scales on Thursday.
P.s This view is one of the reasons I love to run outside amongst nature 😍

Very well done for completing W1, and the photo looks lovely - I can see why it inspires you. I just completed W2 this morning but when I started I couldn’t believe how hard 90 seconds was! I thought an extra 30 seconds would be a doddle!! Now I’m not sure how I’m going to manage 3 minutes in W3 😳😳
Just a little warning on the losing weight front. Running will get you fit, and it will shift fat to leg muscle. Muscle is actually heavier than fat, so you may notice that, even if the scales read the same, you look and feel better. Don't let the scales discourage you!
I am told that once you can run for more than 30 minutes the pounds do drop off, but I'm not quite there yet myself....
I don't know how quickly the scales will show you winning (by losing weight), but you're already beating c25k. Week 2 run 1 in the bag so more of the same won't be beyond you. Feeling like a winner when you reach the "time to slow down and walk" is as good next time as last time. Turning dread to excited anticipation, you've already come a long way.
Brilliant well done! Enjoying it is so important keep it slow and steady and soon you'll look back and laugh at a 90 second run. I echo all the others on weight loss but it's a virtuous circle. Running makes you feel great and so you will be encouraged to eat more healthily. Every 1lb lost is less to carry round on your run! Good luck
I'm at the same stage as you - week 2 run 1 completed yesterday. I enjoyed it. It wasn't too hard but I did notice a heaviness in my legs that wasn't there last week. Your view is amazing, how inspiring. My kids are in bed when I go running so I can only stay within my estate. Its's working so far. Bring on tomorrow!
