Is there any way on Strava you can tap in the distance you want to run and have it tell you when you’re half way/or have completed that distance?

Not that I can see... you can have updates, but mine only offers mile and half mile intervals.

Nike Run Club does do exactly what you are asking... but it won’t share data with Strava.

Perhaps I should just keep to the 30 minute consolidation runs for now?

I guess if you’re set to metric Strava does half and kilometre intervals... then you just for to wait for the right one to turn around.

30 minutes is obviously good, but if you’re looking to go further than 5 it won’t help forever. The advice is to consolidate for a couple of weeks though.

A compatible running watch could let you have one app on for the run and then sync with Strava, but that’s not the cleanest solution. Nike turned off all 3rd party sharing a while ago... probably due to the new data protection rules.

I could take a look at Nike Run Club. I’m only using Strava because it was recommended by someone on C25K. I just want to be able to see my distances and routes. I presume Nike Run Club does that?

It does that... it does race planning... and it has guided runs which are fantastic. Give it a go by all means... personal preference really. My decision was because I will want race plans, and Strava charge for them.

It doesn’t give as many stats as Strava though.
