I did my first week 7 run and found it easier. Maybe my body is adapting, or it was the taking Ventolin while on the warm up walk before staring, or just a good day with low allergens or whatever. I tried to slow up at the start and was faster in the third km and slowest in the first. 3.6km total, 8.6 instead of 8.9km per hr. No inhaler needed during or after, although it was close, no red face and no back pain & sciatica later.
Looking forward to the next run and feeling the end is in sight and a first ever 5km will happen. We dragged the kids out and did our first junior park run. I was impressed with my youngest especially, coping with asthma too. She ran about 1.5km before walking. It’s funny they both have sore legs as not used to running so long, despite being very active. My running is contagious as my husband is back out running, sickeningly he can do a sub 30 min 5km despite not having done much exercise for months/years.
