W7R3 yesterday & have to say it was my worst run yet. Slightly disheartened as had to stop & walk many times. Usually go out first thing but had a busy morning so went out in the afternoon & really struggled. I'm hoping it's just a blip but will see how my next run is & maybe repeat this week if still struggling. Trying not to be too down hearted about it but quite disappointed.
Worst run yet: W7R3 yesterday & have to say it... - Couch to 5K
Worst run yet
Chalk it up as experience and move on, you’ve got this!
We are at the same place on the plan, I also feel my running is far better first thing in the morning but sometimes that’s just not possible and Afternoons are certainly the hardest I prefer to go out in the evening.
Your next run could be your best!
It may have been rough and tough, but you didn’t give in. You changed your schedule and also it was so hot and humid yesterday, and when things change the gremlins get in easier. You’ll go out and nail it next time for sure.
I also had my worst run ever yesterday but as a lot of people have said previously on the forum- some runs will be good- others not so good. At least we’re out and active🏃♀️😊
Don’t feel disheartened- dust yourself off and go into week 8 remembering how far you’ve come. You’ve had so many more good runs than your bad one 👍😊
Thanks Beanjo, you are right, I have read many times about the bad runs. I think it just seemed worse because my first run of W7 was alright. I am taking great encouragement from the lovely people on this forum. As you say, there have been more good than bad runs so will approach run 3 with a positive mindset!
Ahh. I feel your pain! I had a really disappointing run yesterday too. It happens. It definitely doesn't mean the next one will be bad. And however bad it felt at the time, you did it and you need to remember that in itself was an achievement worth celebrating. You're doing more now and it's tiring. Hang on in there. Week 8 will bring a new challenge and more success. You're so nearly there now. Don't be disappointed. Well done!
Aw thank you Linda. I guess I do need to realise some runs will be harder than others but at least I did it! 7th week nearly finished, I can hardly believe it. Thank you for the moral support & words of encouragement, it really means a lot.
Ha ha, thank you, that is inspiring! Fingers crossed.
