First 5k

Morning run oh how I love them not. Although I did love this one. I ran a slightly different route as I was thinking there’d be less people around then remembered it was just after 7am on a Sunday morning.

Run went well and now I’ve managed to get Strava talking to me again I didn’t feel so lost without Laura. After I hit the 4K mark at just over 28mins I decided I was going to keep running as I haven’t run for 4 days. Anyway very happy to say I reached 5k without giving up but was very happy to stop after. According to Strava my last km was faster than my first km but the 3 in between were slower.

Don’t know if I will continue to push myself to do 5k or just go back to consolidating my 30 min runs. I will see how I feel next run which I plan to do Wednesday.

Yes I think we all have 5k as a target even though only 10% can do it in 30 mins on graduation . 😄

Excellent result. Well done on you 5km👍

Hi there... well done.. it must feel great to reach the 5k. I have just graduated and will consolidate doing the 30 mins. I have run 4.2km consistently but in graduation only did 3.9km.

I use Strava.... how do you get it to talk to you? Does it yell you the distance and time you have been running aloud?

Tap record and then settings it’s in there. It took ages to find, I forget where it is every time and have to hunt for it lol

I was running 4.1 on my runs but decided to push it and succeeded. I’m really happy about it 😀
