Week 1 Run 1

Thought I’d give this a bash. Returned from holiday on June 12th and took a long hard look at myself and decided I needed to sort myself out n lose some serious weight. I joined Slimming World and have lost 3 stone to date. A friend told me about this which he did and is now running regular 5/10k at a time. I found today’s first run ok which was surprising and am looking forward to the next one.

3 stones in 2.5 months? Great job... you’re obviously strong mentally... that will be handy later, not all runs are comfortable.

Welcome to C25K.., great job getting from the sofa to the end of run one... that’s not easy. Enjoy your journey.

You've done the hard part... Joining in the first place. It's the best thing that I've ever done. 9 weeks ago I never thought I would complete the whole programme but tonight I graduated and feel so proud. Well done on the weight loss too. You can do this, if I can do it anyone can! Good luck!

Huge congratulations!!! On loosing weight, on starting C25K and joining the forum! You are doing a-ma-zing!

Take it easy, take it slow, NO I mean s-l-o-w, let all 80-90yolds to o retake you during their walks. You don't want any injury. Remember that the rest days are even more important than the run days, as then the magic, growth, regeneration happen ;)

And one the most important thing - ENJOY! Smile! Even if not all runs are great, light and with go-go-Gadgtet legs ;)

Happy running and welcome!
