So this morning I didn't feel that great but thought I'd get on and run but then didn't have the time as I had my exercise class to go to. My husband said 'well you can just run later can't you?' 🙄 I don't like running later in the day but I've just read a book called 'Get Your S**t Together' - so I did! I decided as it was W8R3 I was going to do a run I'd not done before because it was flat - be kind to myself - why make it harder than necessary? I drove to a small track which led to the 'flat run road' and started my 5 minute warm up. After 2 minutes the track led to the dual carriageway - noooo! Should I stop the run and drive to my original choice? - no! I retraced my steps and went on another run which I had done before but not from this end and it certainly wasn't flat. Playlist going but after 5 minutes I was struggling. Felt like I had no energy but I just kept going - determined that I was going to end week 8 tonight. I've found that first 5 minutes difficult before. So on I went and Ruby DID take her love to town and then I sang along with Van - only the chorus you understand - sha la la la la la la la la la la di da. I did it! - pace 6.58 - I don't even know what that means! I covered more ground last time with a slower pace - how does that work? Anyhow, it's done ✔ Next run will be in the morning - no more evening runs for me.
