I had an iwatch for my birthday when I was halfway through couch to 5k and was setting the excercise to open goal as I was using the app for timings. The lovely Sarah Millican keeping me on track and encouraging me all the way, but since graduating I’ve wanted to know how far I actually run! The iwatch lets you set goals so I tried a full 5k and struggled a lot, it was a morning run, lots of people about and I always struggle with those, so was a bit disheartened when I felt I needed to walk some of it. My OH has had the watch a lot longer than me and said I should set it to do an amount of time rather than distance, good idea, off I went and ran my 30 mins and felt great! Until I looked at the workout app and it said I’d done 2%! Only 2% the cheeky thing I’d run 30 mins 4.5k! 2% I was fuming 😤 then I realised that some numpty (can’t have been me, must have been pixies) had set it for 30 Hours! 😂 ‘say goodnight Gracie’
I have since sorted out the 30 mins setting and gone over and done 2 x 5k runs in 35 mins. Still feeling good about running even when I get drenched and covered in mud! It’s much nicer when the workout app says 100% 😆
