Wardrobe malfunction

To those of you wondering what the best clothing is to wear for running, particularly ladies and their bra situation...

Tonight, halfway through my run, I had just caught my leg on a patch of nettles, and caught up in the following pain in my ankle I failed to notice the zip on the front of my sports bra was slowly going down with each footstep. It suddenly popped undone, leaving me to try to discreetly get it done up again by the side of the road, with sweaty hands. Not an easy task - far more difficult than the run I was doing! And there were cars everywhere too!!

So just picture me struggling with that scenario the next time you worry what you look like when you're running!

Has anyone else had a mortifying moment? 😡

Yikes. Hope your dignity is intact now, Margaret. πŸ™‚

😯oh dear. Haha luckily I’ve not had that situation, mainly due to being a man. But it sounds like a bit of a pain! πŸ˜‚

Good luck on your next run!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

After over a year running, I thought my biggest problem might be worn out leggings. How wrong was I!

Not really.... sounds tricky... Underarmour bra..no zips no fastens... and fun to get on and off:)

Oooo nasty, very tricky. Not experienced such a situation yet...but the potential is there 😬

no, I have the opposite. One of my bras is so hard to get off I fear being stuck in it one day and having to miss work because I've got an arm sticking out the head hole and my hair caught in the clasp. Of course I won't be able to pick up my phone to let anyone know!

Have heard one or two of these stories though ... glad you didn't pick up an injury or anything - when you said you'd caught your leg in nettles I was glad it didn't follow with a tripping up - and hopefully you're laughing about it now...!

Haha! The irony is, I swapped from a back fastener because I was having the same problem! The zip front seemed like a good idea at the time πŸ˜‰

My mortifying moment....heading into the woods for a poomergency only for a cyclist to stop and shout: "Hello, are you alright?" This is the downside of running in hi-vis clothing.

I have spotted a gap in the market - hi vis for safety on one side, reversible camouflage on the other for those moments you need to become barely visible (pardon the pun).

These moments are not things I ever thought would be a concern when I started running! That's a real sink into a hole in the floor moment 😳

I'm sure you handled it with the utmost dignity!
