Hi, does anyone have any info regarding the suitability of the couch to 5k programme for children?? My 6 year old daughter and 11 year old step daughter are keen to do it with me, I’m a previous graduate, but haven’t ran for the whole of the summer and I’m just starting it all again from scratch!! 😬😁

C25K is eminently suitable for normal healthy kids and they will probably leave you in their dust..........what a lovely thing to do with your children.

Do make sure they have good footwear though. Young limbs and joints are more malleable and distortable than those of an adult, so need to be properly supported.

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Thanks! Yeah, I learned early on about the perils of inappropriate footwear so I’ll make sure I get that sorted for them. We did our first run together this morning and they thoroughly enjoyed it! 👍😁 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️

My 8 year granddaughter comes with me. It doesn’t tax her enough but great time spent together!
