W3R1 was a daunting prospect...

I had a look last night at what was in store for me this morning, first run of W3. Running for 3 minutes?! No way! I imagined myself hot and sweaty, lungs in agony, calf muscles screaming etc. etc. Decided to do a 4th run of W2 instead. But being the bloody minded sort I got up this morning and announced to my husband that I'd give it a go. 'Go steady' said he, 'And walk it out if it's too much, don't injure yourself' - good advice. Anyway, off I went and guess what? It was fine. In fact I really enjoyed it.

Jo Whiley is my coach and her tip about imagining someone seeing your head over the top of a hedge and not being able to tell if you're walking or running - great tip for keeping a steady pace, it really helped me. The whole run was great! I definitely preferred it to W2. Couldn't believe it was over so quickly!

Cool... don’t fear a run, you’re stronger than you think. Great job.
