If I can do it, anyone can!

So I graduated yesterday and I am so proud of my achievement particularly since I am asthmatic and have been since I was a very small child. I was quite sporty as a kid, I swam, danced, played netball and even sprinted a bit but I couldn’t sustain any activity for very long as it would set off my asthma. Cross country runs and 800ms were the worst of all and I would find myself desperately struggling to breathe. But 40 years later I have done it. My asthma is much better managed these days and the gradual way C25K builds you up is brilliant. I have also loved having Jo Whiley as the coach as she really makes you feel supported and that she completely understands what you are going through. I have run 5k four times now and feel healthier than ever. If you are just starting and thinking you’ll never get there, then just remember, if a 52 year old with asthma can do it, anyone can. Good luck!!
