If I can do it then anyone can.....

Hi, I've been doing the couch to 5k at the gym. I completed week five yesterday and actually run for 25 minutes on the treadmill.

I'm 38 and never really been fit, last time I did that was a cross country run in school!!!

I actually felt elated yesterday and realised how much I've progressed. I've also lost nearly 2 stone in weight with going to a slimming club.

If I can do this then anyone can,, so if you are contemplating it, just do it!!!

I work as a nurse for the nhs, I will definitely share this with patients to promote their health, it's an excellent tool.

Hi pops just looking around and keeping an eye on newbies! Still not back running due to work and travel commitments. Hopefully back early December. Hope all good with my forum friends and their running...

There are so many of us on here who think exactly the same - if I can do it, anyone can! It's a fantastic way of getting fit and getting into running. And the best part is once you have graduated, you can please yourself how you continue!

Congratulations that's great. Just a note of caution that those of us with impaired lungs feel it is an achievement to walk for 25 minutes. Not everyone can do it

Great stuff! You're doing really well with the running and the weight loss.

It's a good idea to spread the word with colleagues and patients. The NHS doesn't seem to be doing too well in this regard despite the fact that it's an NHS programme.
