I finished wk 9 run 3 today and even started with a hill and ended with a sprint [of sorts!]. I am over the moon and quite amazed that I have achieved this. Until two years ago I did no exercise at all apart from a few walks with the dog. I also smoked for way too many years and drank lots of wine in my youth. I remember the first minute run as complete agony but trusted Laura to get me through - and she did.
I now feel justified in splurging on some decent running gear!
Good luck to others who are just starting out. It is a fantastic regime. And it works!

Congratulations on graduation and welcome to the club! Running life starts from here! Here's me speaking with vast amounts of experience - I only graduated 2 weeks ago!
Well done and huge congratulations on completing the plan and graduating. it's a great achievement, isn't it.
I remember feeling a little flat after without the direction of dear Laura guiding me through the runs. Her voice becomes a real comfort. I missed it. Eventually I downloaded the C25K+ podcasts and alternated those for a bit before deciding on increasing my distance and I signed up for a 10k to keep my motivation high. It worked.
My new goal is a 5k parkrun - I think I will keep using the final week of the C25k as I think I still need the encouragement and timings. I am not sure I wouldn't give up too early without Laura!
Yay, congratulations! Yours is a very inspirational story. Well done on completing the plan. You definitely deserve some fancy running gear - I'm sure we'd love to see pics when you've bought them
