I feel ready for W4 R1 so was thinking about skipping the last run of W3.

What do you reckon?

Keep with the program. It works. Do all the runs. You’ll be glad you did when you get to W4. Enjoy

Are you in a rush? Somewhere to be in a hurry? A train to catch? An urgent appointment to attend?

The programme ain't broke so no need for fixing.

I just looked back at your previous posts and you certainly are in a hurry! However, only 4 days ago you were complaining of pain in your calves. Do the runs as per the programme and it will help your legs to get stronger over time :)

You’re right. I just feel I could run for longer

And in 5 weeks you will be running for 30 minutes probably without injury. This is about the rest of your life not about the next day or two.

Patience is a virtue in life and in running. Maybe you could practice this as it will help you as a runner long term

👍😊🏃🏾‍♀️

Here’s a secret.

Last year I got to this stage and decided to attempt a 5k with my wife. I did it in 44 mins but was in agony for a week and didn’t run again until 3 weeks ago.

I’m so impatient

Your secret is an important one to remember! The programme is designed the way it is for a reason, so stick with it and stay nice and slow - you’ll complete your runs injury free and feel great in the process! 🏃‍♂️👏🏃‍♂️

No hurry, just enjoy it! 😀

No, no and no.

Tuck your impatience in your back pocket for a while. Your legs will thank you in the long term :-)

I’m running in 15 minutes and it involves a slight hill

Really try to be patient! This programme works and to jump ahead is risking injury. There's no rush. It's great you feel you could run further, but be cautious! 😁😁

The real measure of a "good run" is that you get to the end and have more in the tank. Bank that. Don't carry on. Stop when you've got to end of your run and be pleased with yourself.

People who skip weeks or run further than they should tend to blow up and then disappear. Over-training invariably leads to injury and no-one wants that for you in W3 okay :-)
