Hello again Sanjeev

Three weeks post-graduation and contemplating where to go from here. I’m very happy with running 5k and have no ambition to run further at the moment (never say never!) However I would like to pick up my pace. To that end, this morning I went back to week 1 run 1 but instead of run 60 walk 90 I tried run faster 60 run usual pace 90. I managed the first 4 and the last minute at a slightly faster pace, and I did enjoy having the structure again, and good old Sanjeev keeping me on track.

That sounds like fun. Never thought of doing that ........ 🤔

I’m in the no mans land of post-grad runs too and looking for ideas. Might try yours (except there’s no way I could run fast when the 20 minute plus runs kick in!!) 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🐌🐌

No I haven’t really thought that far ahead 😂

That’s a terrific idea YamCat. Definitely something that I’ll try.

Faster? You already left me for dead at parkrun last week 😂 That's a good idea though, converting walk/run to jog/sprint (though I could never actually sprint!). Might give that a try during my short Thursday run this week.

Haha I think ‘sprint’ is overstating it slightly! My ultimate aim is a 30 minute 5k but I don’t mind how long it takes me to get there. I just like having something to aim for, to ensure I keep getting up and out there three times a week

Quite a few people "redo" the programme in the way that you've discovered and they love it. At least it's a structure you know and Sanjeev is a lovely kind man :-)

Good idea! Although i think i already do something similar without trying to... looking at my stats in relation to my playlist, it seems that i unconsciously match my pace to my music. My pace is pretty erratic anyway!
