Getting mightily annoyed with my pace over the 1st km! I need a recorded chorus of forum members shouting "slow down". Did a 1km PB yesterday which is pointless when it makes the rest of the run so painful. Pointless rant really as I know I'm setting off too fast (for my current weight / fitness level) and only I can stop myself doing it!
And the app crashed without me knowing so I didn't hear any encouragement from Laura after ten minutes. Still, I had Strava and Map My Run tracking me so I know I ran the full 30 (actually 31) minutes. 4.2km covered.
Two more to go. Hopefully at a more sensible pace.

Don't worry. Happens to us all. Remember to use that first K or so as a gentle "Get in the groove" warm up.
Working out how to balance faster and slower steadier running will start to happen when you get into post-grad fartleks and interval running. It's am important thing to work on eventually and you'll get there. But not yet.
Nice going! I'm the worst in the world for setting off too fast, in fact if there was a forum badge for this I'd be called 'telford_mike - Muppet'. It’s annoying, but you can slow right down and pick things up again with a bit of practice. Good luck with the rest of your graduation week!
