How do you all get those little cartoon pictures of snails, flowers etc into your posts?????

I can do a smiling and grinning face, :) :D but that is all, and I'm feeling deprived!

(Edited to make more sense - I hope)

Are you on a phone app or pc? On the phone there is a little camera button on the bottom left. On pc is a add photo button under the text box

Sorry, didn't phrase it well, I meant the little cartoon pictures of snails, flowers, etc, not my own photos, which I have succeeded in posting.

Oh okay those are emojis. Are you posting on pc of phone app? 🐝🍂🐌🥔🧀🥒💩🍅

If you're on Windows 10 then you can press Windows key + . to bring up a list of emojis.

🎶😢💖😜👏💋🌹

If you're on iOS (iPhone or iPad) then look for the globe icon on your keyboard and hold it down to bring a list of keyboards - emoji will be one in the list.

You mean emoji's... The keyboard that comes up on screen when you type a post, there's a smiley face icon next to the space bar, tap on that and then they should all come up to choose from by scrolling along..

I post from my desktop PC and the Windows key only brings up the Start screen.

Oh well, at least I can be :( about it....

Windows key + .

Windows key plus the full stop :) brings up a little screen of emojis (at least on Windows 10)!

Hi Denovo when I post from my laptop I go to emojipedia. You can search for and copy and paste the snails, flowers etc from there. It's a bit laborious but it works x

Ah, looking back I see that @shub69 said it, but @icklegui spelled it out that I need Windows key plus full stop to get the emoji list. I did try looking at emojipedia as suggestedby @pianoteacher; it had many possibilities but I was confused by the list of variants it gave me for each one and did not know how to transfer them over.

So, a 🥉 for all who helped, and I can claim my 🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌 !

Sorry, thought @ would link to people who helped me, but obviously not. Further lessons required!

whooops bit late here! @ should indeed link but it doesn't function very well. Type @ and then start typing the username you want to link and it ought to give you a drop down list (four names, on my computer). Once you have typed enough characters, the name you want should appear on that list. A blue highlight will be on the first name in the list, and you can then use the arrow to move that down to the one you want. Hit enter when the highlight is on the right name and it should then appear as a link in your post.

It's slightly different on a mobile where you have to press the screen on the name you want, sometimes I find it doesn't work.

Not what you're looking for?
