So age 54 more than 5 stone overweight and rarely exercised I have a fab running buddy, got me fancy new trainers and the best bra I could find and we have completed week one. Oh my word if you had told me that you were running for 60 seconds then walk for 90 I would have said piece of p*ss until I started and discovered just how unfit J am. I will repeat week one as I didn’t quite manage all 7 running sections but hey It’s all progress and I am still motivated

Well done! It’s definitely progress - you’re out there running! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

It’s truly a brilliant programme and you’ll see big improvements in your strength and stamina if you stick with it, trust it and go as slow as you need. We’ve all made friends with snails and wave as they zoom past us! 🐌🐌🐌

Have fun too! 😀👏👏

Thanks for your encouraging words. Yep def a snails pace but it’s faster than sitting on the sofa. Well done on your graduation you seemed to have enjoyed rather than endured your journey. Hope I start to enjoy it soon too

Well done - I'm another of of those overweight over 50's - there does seem to be few of us😊

Keep going - the first couple of weeks ate a bit of a shock to the system.

Best of luck x

Thank you. I do find it encouraging to see the progress of other over 50’s achieving what they never thought possible a Park Run is my goal and to tackle the odd hill without panting like a dog since I live in a very hilly area that would be useful

Not a fan of hills - but there aren't any where I live lol

I did a parkrun last week with a couple of inclines in - was tough but a mix of runs and walks got me round. You'll be surprised at how following such a simple plan really improves your fitness - oh and you'll start to love running 😊
