Sweaty running

Hi, I'm new to the forum but you've all been so inspirational in my journey. I started the app two weeks ago and just started week three.

Like a lot of other people I've long been interested in running but could never quite pluck up the courage to try it, so I'm really pleased with my progress so far. I have an additional challenge at the moment of working night shifts so I can't run in the cooler mornings. I'm loving the warm weather but it's a bit sweaty!

Thanks for all the advice for here, especially keep it slow which is my mantra!

Welcome.

Any way you can run straight after the night shift? Madness, right? But it might “finish you off” and help sleep.

I'm considering it as an option but I'm pretty knackered after a twelve hour shift and it's also dependent on how good a sleep I had in the day. I'm running in a local park so at least there's some shade.

Much kudos for even managing to work nights let alone run as well.

I’m at the same stage as you, just completed W3R1 this morning before it got too hot!

I’m totally hooked and keep peeking ahead to the next week to see what’s in store. Can’t wait, but I’m following the app religiously so 2 more W3 runs to go first!

Happy running. 😀

I keep looking ahead too as I'm impatient! This time next week we'll be running for five minutes, eek! I found this run easier than the last week two so I think morning runs suit me, although that's a surprise to me!

I agree. I found 3 minutes no problem at all!
