Oh hey! I'm loz and I just got back from my first run on the couch to 5k programe! I have to admit it was much harder than I anticipated, who thought running for one minute could be so tough! I'm super proud of myself for completing it though, and not stopping! Heres to the next one!!! 👍

Well done! Yes it's a bit of a shock that 60seconds can be quite so long... but you've started and that's the hardest bit. The plan works well and you will be impressed with yourself all the way and then you'll be like most of us, completely hooked :-).
One of the admin will be along with the interesting info about C25k and running but i would say, never be afraid to go slower and rest well between runs (and stretch after!)
WELCOME!
Hi Loz, well done for getting started on the C25K programme! The first one is the hardest part, I think! Go slow and steady for the running bits and keep something in the tank for the last run. You will notice your stamina improving slowly but surely, I bet the final run of Week one won't feel so hard. Keep going, you're doing great.
Great for getting started, c25k is an amazing plan and in a way it's good that you found it a bit harder than you thought because if it was easy you wouldn't feel the same accomplishment when you finished a run . Good luck😊
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on pacing.
Enjoy your journey.
I felt the same when I started last Wednesday! How long can 60 seconds feel? But I did R2 yesterday and completed the 60 seconds convincing myself that R1must have been more 🤔😊
I walked on my day off Thursday
It’s amazing that 60 seconds felt so seagull on R1 but a doddle on R2!
Keep it up and good luck we can smash this!
Yes we can! Well done to you too and that's really comforting to me that you found R2 easier! I have to say I'm quite achy today, but looking forward to getting back out there for R2 tomorrow, and I'm very thankful my rest day was today as I don't think I'd be up for my second run ever in the torrential rain!!
