1st run in week 9 tomorrow. Can't believe I've almost graduated. Hopefully do my first ever park run when feeling brave.

Go for it WelshMammy! I’m at the end of week 8 and did a trail run today (accidentally booked wrong type of run!). Even though I was slow and walked parts of it, it felt amazing to even be at an event like that. The park runs are meant to be brilliant. You are a real runner now so be brave and go for it ⭐️

Do it! I know it feels daunting, but parkrunners are lovely and there is a high probability there will be people walking it all the way. Even if you are right at the back, the tail walker will be there with you, so you won't get lost and will have someone with whom to chat if you want.

Go for it... graduation at park run??? No need to be brave, they’re a very welcoming and supportive bunch.

Week 9 is a pussycat - just 2 more minutes which you’re totally prepared for. Definitely do that parkrun! Good luck, see you on the podium at the end of the week!

I did w9r1 yesterday, you don't even notice that extra 2 minutes. You'll enjoy it, your nearly there.😀 It did help that it was 5am half dark and pouring rain so it was lovely and cool... the dog looked at me like I was mad mind you!!

Thank you all for your supportive comments. I think once I get my first park run out of the way I may become addicted 😀. I always looked at people running and though why??? Now I know why and loving it!

Wk9 R1 for me tomorrow too. Excited and scared in equal measures! It's only 2 mins extra but still a landmark run. Hope you got in ok???

I did it fairly ok thank you. Even though I was ready to collapse at 28 minutes last week those extra 2 minutes weren't too bad, even felt myself go a bit quicker at the end (only a little mind) 4.3km today. Good luck tomorrow

But you did it! I'm just back and quite enjoyed it - especially the feeling of actually completing it 😁. I think my new 'go faster' shoes help 😂
