I just ran 28 mins nonstop and welcomed Week8 with open arms in a lovely cooling drizzle.....ME!!! πββοΈπͺπ
Toxic10 nearly had me.......almost gave up. But the remaining 18 mins went well......I totally rocked my "Move like a snail" mantra!!!πππ
I've started using my husband's old fitbit which tells me that I cover 3k in each run.....so I obviously have lots of consolidating to do to get to 5k.
But.....for now, I'm just going to have this big grin plastered on my face because I go running every alternate day and totally enjoy it too!!!πππ
Forecast to cool down a bit.....which is a welcome relief all round.
Happy running, everyone!!!β€ππππ§‘π

Yay for Hotheels! That's great! I hate the toxic 10 too, but once you get your head around the fact that it seems to happen every time itβs not quite so bad. Enjoy the rest of the week! πββοΈπ
Yes....that is exactly what I kept telling myself!!! Get through 10 and you'll be fine....and it's amazing how the legs simply start cooperating 11 mins onwards!!!! π π
It is liberating! All these things we previously avoided now bring us joy. It's really quite a journey... amazing to think where it might take us! ππ
Never thought I'd enjoy it as much as I am.......who'd have thought, eh?
I can't yet see any obvious difference in my stamina levels....still feel out of breath when I climb lots of steps....but I can slow jog for 28 mins....that is progress for sure!!!!
Mr Endurance....I'm out to get you....lol!!!!πππ
Jokes aside, couldn't have got this far without your steady support....egging me on!!!
I've also been reduced to wearing a very ugly old fitbit at your suggestion......look what you've made of me!!!! ππππ
You are the one doing all the hard work, and don't underestimate how far you have come, I still get out of breath climbing lots of stairs, but we have both come a long way, can't wait to welcome you up to the podium once you graduate x
Ps still waiting to see you join the Strava community π
Brill, Hotheels! Very well done! Youβre running at a similar pace to me (bit faster I think) but we donβt care. We wear our snail teeshirts with pride! πππ
Really looking forward to the cool weather tomorrow. Iβll be out for my run early and itβll be a novelty to potentially feel chilly! πβ€οΈπββοΈ
Keep running with pride - not long to go now! Smash it! You definitely will. πββοΈππ»πββοΈππ»
Too right!! We are......The Queen Snails!!!πππ All that matters is we'reon the couch no more....and we're out running....and feeling our happiest when we are very red π ππand have given our confused legs a good workout....π€£π€£π€£
Enjoy your cool run tomorrow!!!πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ......THE PODIUM is well in sight now!!! π
Well done. Everytime I run I come home grinning. I see another runner (a man ) who actually runs pulling a face that says he's in pain and hates running . I always want to stop him and ask him why he runs because his face tells me he hates it.
If I ever look like him I'm going to give up ππ
You're never going to look anything other than gorgeous no matter what face you pull!!!!!πΈ
But.....I get what you mean, totally!!!
I probably look like that man every time I succumb to pressure from my husband and go for a swim......I do not like it and do not enjoy it. I'm just not a "water" person........whilst my husband is in his element when he's in the water.
I'm a "solid ground" person......which would explain why I really love running; whilst my husband simply doesn't get running at any level....lol!!!π π
Maybe that poor bloke ought to try a different sport that he finds enjoyable.......π
I can relate to this. My wife and kids love to go swimming. It does nothing for me, I am a swim if I need to stay afloat or get away from something bloke ! Running on the other hand is almost liberating at times, and in a strange way relaxing (at least mentally!)
Hey Hotheels thatβs brilliant!! You did it! Donβt you worry the big grins continue after graduation too, even when you donβt run 5k!! So close now Hotheels! Iβm excited for you!! ππβ€οΈ
