I’ve finished!!!!

Well, how amazed am I???? Two and a half months ago struggled with the sixty second runs and didn’t think it was fair to increase by 50% each week. I have stuck with it through a sore knee (thought top of cliff running was a good idea) aches and pains to finally achieve my goal. I have reclaimed my knees and feel more toned. So at 61 I am proud of myself.

Reading all the comments on this forum has been an incentive - thanks everybody 👍

Congratulations Lynne, graduation for us oldies feels all the more amazing. How come we didn’t discover running before now? Well, girls didn’t run at our school, the one or two attempts I made didn’t work, but then I discovered NHS C25K. It works! Enjoy grAduation. 🏃‍♀️👏👏🍾🥂🍾😁

Thank you Dexy5 the only other running I did was cross country when I was 12 through Bedfordshire countryside

Well done Lynne. Thanks for getting me out of bed early all those mornings. That first 60 second run was the longest 60 seconds since the Big Bang.

Now we’re running for 30 mins. And thanks for all those post run breakfasts. Poached eggs on toast today with fresh melon juice followed by coffee.

That’s a great way of doing it. Congrats to Phil too. My OH is my running buddy too but he’s been running all his (long) life.

Great job Lynne. Ups and downs but stuck at it and did the utterly impossible. 🎓

Well done. It feels great doesn’t it. I’ve just done my first post graduation run. Still like to hear Laura encouraging me on.

Congratulations! I also graduated last week and I know exactly how you feel. After run 1, week 1, I seriously wondered if I'd be able to complete it. I could not imagine running for 30 mins non stop. I still don't look forward to it to be honest but the feeling when a run is completed is brilliant. I want to try to keep it up for as long as possible. What a great achievement- well done to you and keep running!

Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.

Our bodies are amazing........even when we are in our sixties........we are capable of doing so much more than most of us believe.

I am one run behind you, could be the same journey! I thought the first one minute run was a massive ask, couldn’t understand why it didn’t start at thirty seconds and don’t talk to me about knees! Many congratulations. You are a runner! 🏃‍♀️🍾💐
