Popped out for a run this morning, having got back to the U.K. last night. The quiet lanes of rural Shropshire ought to be a lot easier than the Alps, right?
Wrong!
The humidity here is insane! Hats-off to all the people who’ve been running in this weather. I found it was pointless trying to run at any sort of pace as I was just dissolving in my own sweat 😫 Definitely the toughest 5k of the programme so far.

Yes it’s vile here. I keep going to the gym to run on a treadmill! Roll on autumn! Never thought I’d say that but I’ve got a new found love for cold weather 😂
It really is easier there. On an average 5k I'll have an elevation gain of around 150 metres in the Alps. This morning it was a mere 11 metres, but somehow much tougher!
We’ve been stuck in the car since yesterday morning driving back from the Bavarian Alps - with an overnight stop I hasten to add. We’re near home now and the humidity is immense. 😩 I’ll be going out mega early tomorrow morning.
Well done you for braving this crazy UK weather! 💪🏻💪🏻🏃♂️
