Well peeps I think I can honestly say that Iβve found week 8 the hardest so far. Lots of reasons for that but yesterday was the first time since I started the programme at the end of May that I decided I didnβt want to run today.
And then something strange happened last night. As I was getting out of the car I sort of twisted round in a funny position ( no alcohol involved at all) and I really hurt my leg. Suddenly the thought that I may not be able to run today - and even worse have to be on the IC instead of the podium next weekend filled me with dread.
And suddenly I realised that in the space of 8 weeks, running has become very important. The thought that I might not be able to do it made me realise how much I wanted to and so after a few tentative stretches to make sure my leg was up to it, off I went this morning - still at a πpace but a very happy snail.
And as I go into W9 on Monday, may I never forget that 8 weeks ago I could only just manage 60 seconds. What an amazing programme and what an amazing encouraging forum. Thanks one and all π
