W8R1 what a difference a week makes...

Morning lovely runners :)

Last Tuesday I had a really yucky run which knocked me physically and mentally. Thanks to the support and encouragement from you lot I quickly got back on track and completed week 7 feeling much better.

Week 8 run 1 today. Yes, I met Julie. Much grinning and head-shaking for that particular few minutes! What's that all about? I quite enjoyed the rest of week 8 music - chilled-out dance-y sort of stuff (I have no idea what I'm talking about, and am not in anyway cool, but my brother is a DJ so I feel I should make the effort...) which I thought was really good to run to. But Julie? Julie, Julie, Julie - you really have no place in there. Sorry. You did make me smile though :)

In other news, the run was good, solid and I genuinely feel I'm getting the hang of it now. I honestly believe it will become a routine part of my life once C25K is finished. :)

I did get a niggly hip pain after W7R3, which I stretched out and rested an extra day. It went away and I was fine this morning, but it started irritating me again on my cool down walk today and still aches now :( I'm hoping it's just a bit of stiffness and will settle down. Don't want to get myself injured so close to the finishing line.

Happy running and happy Autumn to everyone heading out today :)

Sounds like a good run :0) - I had a much better run today than Sunday. Beginning to feel like a runner! ooh and I ran past another runner today (going in the opposite direction I hasten to add!) - the first time, and I managed to say a not too breathless hallo ;0)

Yeah, sorry - maybe she'll grow on me, I believe she makes another appearance in week 9!

I'm enjoying the running and the forum enormously :)

For the 2 times I've been out with Julie, she comes on just at I hit the A1, so I can barely hear her at all through all the juggernauts heaving past me! I had to play her in the car just to see what all the fuss was about! We're quite firm friends now and I just scrubbed the kitchen floor while she danced round my head.
