Donβt worry too much hotheels I did run 1 and 2 week 7 ok slow but did them run 3 however I could not complete was really down on myself so did it again Wednesday and completed it ok bit slow but I did it now on to week 8 Monday
Ah, thank you!!! You're absolutely spot on in that I have come a long way from when I started 7 weeks ago.......πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
I'll just put this crappy feeling behind me and look forward to finishing week 7 on a positive note!!π
I echo the sentiment above. In 7 weeks (or however long itβs taken) youβve gone from couch, to being downhearted because you were drained after running for 25 MINS straight.
Thatβs an incredible achievement and one I remind myself of as I come to week 8 myself.
Well done ππ»ππ». If youβre unhappy, repeat the week until youβre happier?
Hey Hotheels well done! Some runs are a bit flat like that! But you have slayed the gremlins by getting out there. Itβs been a very hot day too! Youβre doing brilliantly. Have a lovely rest day and youβll be back on the run bouncing as usual!! Youβre not only just the right cut for this, youβre doing it and doing it so well!! β€οΈ
Spooky π± This is the same week I lost my mojo too and the gremlins got me!! ~ i hope I can help to give you the same kind of shove I was given on here ~ keep at it Hotheels , stick with the programme and all will be well π You've got this πππ
"Lost my mojo" sums it up perfectly!!! I'm jusy going to put it behind me and focus on the next run...hopefully in a cooler setting and a much better frame of mind xx Thank you for the encouragement!!!πͺπͺπͺ
You beat those gremlins, well done! We all have those draining, rather crappy runs. Donβt worry, they arenβt a sign of anything other than that youβre human. You have definitely got this, I bet your next run is great. And a hot bloke is an excellent reason to scope out the same route again
Superwoman always gets the hot bloke so Iβm thinking your plan is excellent, haha! Good luck on the next run and maybe before you go out paint your phone number on the back of your top π
HaHa. When I used see people coming the other way I would straiten up and smile as I ran past with my best running posture... till I was around the corner ,,, then it was a stop, double up and catch my breath!! Not so bad these days.
Lol.....that is exactly what happened.....and as it was during the first 5-10 mins of my run......I'm not even sure how I convinced my concrete legs to move faster than my usual sedated snail pace.....πππππ
You ran for 25 whole minutes. That is immense. Imagine being able to do that 7 weeks ago ...... youβd have laughed at the idea - I know I would have! But you stuck with with it. You slayed those irritating little so-and-soβs and carried on. How good is that?
Youβll woop R3 upside the head (slow or faster, no one cares, nor does it matter) and youβll move on to W8 strong. Then itβs W9, then itβs badge time. Look how close you are!
Take each run as it comes (you can't expect to meet 'hot' guys every time you venture out), simply enjoying the pleasure of routinely placing one foot in front of the other, as you sensibly and sustainably find your running legs.
Due to the unseasonably warm summer heat, ensure that you sufficiently hydrate throughout the day (or day before, if you run early on a morning), running at a pace that feels comfortable.
Don't worry about speed, since that'll come once those running legs are eventually found; right now, simply focus upon increasing distance, in addition to ensuring that those feet remain 'hot in their heels'.
Tip: Coconut oil goes a long way towards ensuring that running feet remain presentable.
Thank you.....I will remember the coconut oil tipπ
I think you are correct.....I need to up my water drinking (I'm not very good at it).....so have taken to carrying a bottle wherever i go to keep sipping water throughout the day.π§π§π§
Continually treating those runner's feet (to regular application of coconut oil) simply keeps them looking and feeling sweet.
With regard to fluid intake, as a general rule, aim for 2-3 litres each day, since a 2% reduction in overall hydration can have 10-15% impact upon overall performance.
Not every run will feel great, but every run you complete is another great achievement, as the saying goes no pain, no gain! You have done 20 of the 27 runs, the graduation line is tantalisingly just round the corner, it's a sign of how far you have come that you can feel a bit flat after running continuously for 25 minutes, so recover well today, keep hydrated and nail W7R3! xx
