Finding this week really hard, going out but just feeling Like I can achieve. Thinking I should drop back to week 5 with the shorter runs to build confidence back-as at that point it all felt doable, it’s now all feeing out of reach! Trying to hold myself accountable on here-swapped from sarah to Michael as trainer and not sure I like Michael! ☹️

Hi

I'm at the same place as you in the programme. I have found that running slower, as in Japanese slow running, makes the jog much easier and more relaxed. If you haven't viewed one of the videos on YouTube, I suggest that you do so and try this method. Good luck!

Thank you yes already on this one as referred by another awesome member-just not sure if I am in the psychological right place, start off positive then have a voice saying I can’t do this, then I can’t-not sure how to get over it or if it is usual for this stage-so thought maybe going back to a bit I know I can do comfortably may be a good idea..don’t want to end up giving up..

Trust the programme!!

If you take longer to get to the end it doesn't matter, no one is judging you. It is a tremendous achievement to have got to week 7.

That’s what I do- seems weird calling it running though :) But it means I can keep up and do the longer runs:)

Well done.

If any run is tough, just slow down.

You can do this.

Well done Daisy for getting this far - not long to graduation, just remember how fr you've come in just a few weeks. I found wk7 the hardest, I think its because cumulative 20 minute runs are tough and we are not used to it. But trust the plan, go as slow as you can then go slower! After week 7 i found I hand the confidence to push on to the end - I'm still running over a year later, regular parkruns and a one hour 8k run completed last weekend! Good luck and enjoy your running

DaisyCL you can do this just take it slow and steady and enjoy. We all hear those voices I heard them Sunday just keep your feet going as I did. You are so near and will do this. Good luck.

I ran w7r2 yesterday and I struggled with it as well... run1 was fine so not sure why. My muscles are aching today as well... maybe just my body adjusting ... think I may have a couple of days rest before attempting run 3 but I know I will miss it lol! Well done and getting this far
