That's in the bag! The running and breathing all ok (well ok...ish) but find the longer run times sooooo monotonous. Even with music and things to look at I'm finding it boring.

I know it's a "head" thing but it really is making it a bit of a chore rather than enjoyment. Although I feel good that I've done it at the end.

Anyone else feel like this?

Think you’ve just got to think of the final results John, and keep that as motivation.

I started it, and I’ve never been built for running, or particularly enjoyed it. I like the 5 a sides etc, but a 5K run never ever appealed.

I cancelled my gym membership last month, ahead of the new gym in Dundee opening at the end of this month. So C25K was a good filler till that opens. I hoping to keep it going tho.

Stick with it tho pal 👍🏼👍🏼

Yup know that feeling. At least it's just over 30 mins in total! I have to give myself a stern talking to. "It's just 30 mins, you can do it. Now get on with it."

I am trying not to think about whether I am enjoying it just now. i am trying to reach a goal which at the moment is the end of week 9. I am at the same place as you and as week 9 gets closer I wonder what the next goal will be. I will think about that when i get to week 9. At the moment though I would feel bad if I missed a run. I am just going with the programme. It certainly isn't fun but I am feeling the benefits in my confidence and my health. Look forward to hearing about what you do to keep this going because the feeling good at the end must be worth it.

Hi Anna,

Even now after finishing the programme I'm still not sure I enjoy "running".

I was very happy when I reached the end and felt a sense of achievement.

I have carried on running three times a week because of the benefits to my health, I'm not looking to run marathons or anything, just stave off those nagging illnesses that affect men of my age.

I kept motivated with the help of people here and the challenge to finish C25K. A "buddy" is good to tell your story to as you go along, they have the same problems as you, believe me.

You're doing a fantastic job, keep going I'm right behind you.

Not what you're looking for?
