I have one last run to do to complete the program, but due to back problem my gp advice me to stop running for a while. Its frustrating because I'm so close to the end. I'm really tempted to do my last run and suffer the consequences. I want to graduate I didn't do all of this for nothing did I? Don't know what to do...

You won’t lose fitness anywhere near as rapidly as you gained it. Look after your back, find training you can do that won’t aggravate it. That run will wait for you.

O that is so flustrating Karjkerajo, to complete all the runs and with one more and that run being your graduating run, to be told not to do it by your GP is so awful, I am very sorry to say that your graduation run will have to wait, always take advice from doctors. You cannot suffer the consequences, that could lead to being off running for months, not weeks.

Agree with the others, look after yourself. After all, you didn't do all this just to mess up your back, did you??

If you think not doing your final run means you did all this for 'nothing', I've got news for you - you did already run 30 minutes, twice, yes? How on earth is that nothing :)

If you look after your back and return when you've got the ok to, then you'll be able to keep running, you can do that graduation run and beyond. It's about building a habit, learning a skill, not about the one-off graduation :)
