Well this morning I completed Week 9 Run 3! its taken longer than 9 weeks to reach this point, almost double, as life kept getting in the way. My first session was way back in April, so around 17 weeks total!. My 3 runs (well jogs for me) for week 9 have got slightly slower, not too sure why, maybe because I changed routes and had to roads cross etc... Anyway I ended today on 3.7K. A friend once said 'slow miles are better than no miles' which I like.
So my questions are = have I only graduated once I've competed 5k? If I have graduated, do I get a badge or something ? and, any advice on moving forward. I'm thinking of just sticking to 30 mins for a while to increase speed and stamina
Thanks in advance
PS I would never of thought or imagined I would be able to run for 30 mins!! so if you are reading this and just starting out.. you can do it! Good luck!!

Congratulations graduate! 🥂👏🏅. You get a virtual badge.
You can buy the real thing though, and I believe, there’s still a link on here somewhere . You have to apply for your badge. See links to the right of the screen
Your logical next step are;-
Couch to 5k Stepping Stones podcasts with Laura Do them all, regularly. Hard, tricky but will help build those runners legs. They are a bit slow, slow, quick, quick, slow to start with, but don’t let that put you off if you want to get stronger
After, or indeed, during the above, we have 10 is the Magic Number with our very own Ju-Ju. She does a weekly video, so do go and see it over on the 10k community to sign up 👍
After 10 is the magic number you’ll be set up nicely for the kick-ass Sami Murphy Bridge to 10k podcasts, which are ace. Hours of original music 🎶
No disrespect to the guys who do this in 9 weeks, but I do love to read the stories of those who’ve had issues with the running or life around them and still got through this. Well done you!
5k is a different beast, you are almost certainly fit enough to do one at your pace. Parkrun love to have people come along and get round that course in whatever time.
Right now you are fitter and healthier and a runner!
thank you! Park Run was my original goal. I can walk to the park from home. (or jog!!) So definitely going to give one a try. Think I'll just keep pushing myself a bit further for a few weeks first though. thanks
