I recently downloaded strava and have been quite impressed with the Data on the run/ walk Weeks I have just completed the 20 min run, set strava going when I began the run and stopped it as soon as I finished, was actually pleased at pace/ distance until I noticed it only had me running for 17mins 40 seconds, confused as pace obviously slower based on 20 mins, re -timed C25k against stop watch, bang on, can anyone explain or recommend another app, just looking for basic time and distance,

Can not fault the C25k app, still feel apprehensive when I look at the next run but motivated and determined and can’t believe how for I have come in 5 weeks, can see other people overcoming their self disbelief on here and some great posts of encouragement

Just answered a similar issue. I think it may have an auto pause function, so if you lose GPS it could be pausing and restarting again when it gets signal back. Nike app has that feature but it can be turned off... assuming Strava is at least similar.

Runkeeper and Runtastic are both similar, free apps that track speed/distance and can provide split times, route maps, all that jazz. I've used both over the course of C25k and have settled with Runkeeper purely because the robotic voice calling out the announcements uses a British, rather than a US English accent. Otherwise, functionally they are much the same.

Do you use battery saver, by any chance?

I love Strava and found it to be really accurate--until I got a new phone and suddenly it had me going 7 minutes and in a weird line (near my location, but nowhere near accurate to the turns and angles I was travelling.) After much frustration, I stumbled upon a similar complaint online with the solution that the battery saver option pauses the app (to save battery, I guess. Good job, battery saver!)
