I'm just back from my graduation run. I thought Sarah was testing me by withholding time markers but realised at the end I had accidentally paused her when I started running. Anyway, I had Runkeeper telling me every 0.5km so when I got to 30 mins and well over 4k I kept going and managed my second ever 5k, a minute faster than the previous one at 34.38, which I can't quite believe! Also, just as I was finishing the Chariots of Fire theme music came on my phone so I completed C25K with a (completely unrealistic) mental image of myself as an Olympian pounding along the beach with Nigel Havers. This has been such a great programme, I will miss it. What do I do next?!

That’s a great time! Well done. Now you can have lots of fun doing short speedy sessions or longer slower runs. I've loved the post-graduation runs - you choose what you want to do, and you can never fail.

That's a great time, well done. And well done on graduating.

I graduated a few weeks back and have just been concentrating on getting my 5k time closer to 30 minutes, I'm currently at 32 minutes. Thought I'd do that for a while before moving on to extending my distance.

Well done. Congratulations 🙂

It’s about extending distance first, building strength as you go. Stronger before faster 💪🙂. Fast running is hard on the legs. If your legs aren’t ready you could get injured. Don’t be in too big a hurry 🙂
