Podium, here I am! Finally, completed the programme on a wet and muddy day and I feel great! What a journey. Massive thank you to everyone on this forum who helps, advised and encouraged along the way. I really couldn't have done it without you. But, this is just the start, looking forward now to getting better and stronger and developing my running with a park run. Now, where's that trophy.......
Move over, I'm coming up!: Podium, here I am... - Couch to 5K
Move over, I'm coming up!
Congratulations, really well done!
I have to confess I've not followed your journey, as reading every post on here is a little more than I can cope with, but I've been on your journey, I've had a little time on the IC, I've crossed that starting line just like you. Yes I did say starting line... because this is the start of something very wonderful, you know that, right? Your challenge now, without the tight structure of C25K, to keep feeding that love affair with running and turn it into a habit that's as natural as breathing.
I would certainly recommend the Couch to 5k+ podcasts nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Couch-to..., and trying to get into the point of running 5k, then getting used to running it. From that point, I ended up doing Bridge to 10K, which I think is actually a much easier transiation than 0k to 5k was... but most of all, enjoy yourself whichever direction your running takes you.
All the best, huge congratulations for completing C25K, now go and have a cuppa
