Graduation coming up

PippiRuns profile image
44 Replies

Did w9r2 today in the afternoon heat. Lots of sweat, but no problem. I'm so close now and have no doubt that I will graduate Saturday.

Any last words from you - my running community - before I go out there and prove to myself (and anybody who's willing to listen to my c25k preaching) that I AM A RUNNER?

Can't wait!!

Oh, and Tilly48 - when is your graduation run?

First of all, keep doing what you did already because it's working. Secondly, stay with us on the forum, I'm a graduate and still love talking to those who are starting out. You will still be working on your 5k, so still can learn and share ideas with us all. There is a 10k forum too that is just as friendly

If a tad scary.... :)

PippiRuns profile image
PippiRuns in reply toOldfloss

Thanks JoolieB1 . I'll definitely hang around here. I am sure, I am going to need support from the people in here. I consider you my mentors and my community in all running related aspects of life. Oldfloss , you have helped me more than you probably realise.🐘

The 10k forum is going to have to wait... I'll have to reach 5k before I venture in there with the "mature" runners.

... and you me.... finding a soul mate... what a running bonus :)

Read the posts on the 10k forum because you get tips and support which will help you even if you haven't reach the 5 K yet.

You know what you have to do...don't you ??

Langsomt og støt... You are going to do this.. and I for one, will be right there running with you !

Remember, " The finish line is just the beginning of a whole new race".... x

Langsomt og støt! That's right. I wouldn't dream of doing it in any other way.

Good luck, Iben! You have done so well and it was great to read your progress and feel the running addiction getting stronger! I will be rooting for you on Saturday (may not be able to post though, as I'm on holiday!). Keep posting your running adventures here, we're all still learning from each other and it's great to follow the ups and downs of other fellow c25kers. 👍😎

Thank you, I promise to keep posting/commenting. I think I have a double addiction - running and the atmosphere in this forum. Both do me good.

Brilliant Iben - congratulations. My only objection is that you are ALREADY a runner - nothing more needed to prove that.

As others have said - the real learning starts now :-)

So, congratulations once again - I look forward to hearing all about your post-graduation run!

It is kind of silly, really, that graduation means so much to me (not just me, many, if not most, of us). It is the third 30 minute run, I have already proven that I can do it, yet it feels immensely important to me to graduate.

yatesco profile image
yatescoGraduate in reply toPippiRuns

Oh me too! I didn't mean to diminish the importance or excitement of graduation.

I was on cloud 9 when I graduated and felt very proud of my achievement - it was personally incredibly important to me.

I only meant to encourage you that you are already a runner.

I know. I'm just reflecting on the silliness of my Laura-love❤️

Yes, I felt the same......such an important moment after all the hard work, joy and occasional frustrations and fears. All the best for your graduation run - enjoy and feel proud.

Best advice so far! I will _definitely_ enjoy that run.

Son1 profile image

Not too far, you have a couple of weeks on me. My running partner was away last week, so I did run 2 of week 6 3 times last week so that we could do the 25 min run together on Tuesday. Starting week 7 tonight, just waiting for my husband to come home (he's been in Copenhagen since Monday). Looking forward to seeing him, but I am going to dash straight out for a run *giggles*

PippiRuns profile image
PippiRuns in reply toSon1

I bet the 25 minutes will be a piece of cake after that. And just three weeks more and you've done it too. Brilliant.

Son1 profile image

Thank you - I'd not really thought about it until you mentioned it - quite exciting really :-)

How amazing!! Well done to you for getting this far... That must make you a runner already, not graduating?

PippiRuns profile image

You're right, of course, but it feels surreal. I'm thinking the badge and knowing I have completed the programme will make it more... real

secan profile image

By now I'm sure you know the drill; put one foot in front of the other, remember to breath and you'll be fine. 😉

Actually, you'll be better than fine; you'll be running!
