2 Weeks off - Now I’m back in the game!

I had to take 2 weeks off running as I seem to be doing too much.

I hurt my knee and my ankle just by generally doing too much. I’ve been doing this, gutting out the house and garden, netball, suspension training and yoga. Think I need to calm down a bit...

However, today I managed to finish Week 2 Run 3 yesterday with good old Sanjeev and listening to some good music!

What’s on everyone’s playlist at the moment? Any rockers here? 😆

Big time rocker... I’m avoiding thrash and death metal as my feet going that fast would be so bad. Currently listening to a lot of Iron Maiden, but saving the loneliness of the long distance runner until I’m covering distance lol

Your rest days should include anything but running they say. Your netball may be a slight issue, but if it’s not too often you’ll be fine. Yoga will certainly help, especially core and stability stuff.

Good job completing another week, enjoy week 3.

Love Iron Maiden! I’m more of a Black Sabbath fan myself and being born in the 90’s, I love SOAD, Slipknot, Korn etc. But as you said, try running to their beats!!

Yoga is definitely helping, maybe I’m just not used to all this exercise!

Hope you’re enjoying the C25K too!!

3 footfalls per second is a great pace to run... so 180bpm would work... I’m not even sure I can do 120 at the moment though. Spotify used to have a feature that played music to match your step rate, but I believe they turned it off in February.

Nike app allows you to choose power tracks to hit for that speed burst... slayer all the way there!

Yes. Bit of ELO and Queen keep me going! Done week 3 run 1 today 😁😁😁. Am in my early 60s and have never done any running in my life but really pleased with how I’m doing. Actually ran for a train yesterday! Keep going xx

I love Iron Maiden but I’m not sure that I could run with them playing. Billy Idol gets me moving every time.
