hi! just thought i would pop my head round the door to say hello, smile and tell you that i am still in the game and running every other day... but a bit less slowly and a bit more neatly! lol .i also have my BF doing the programme now. funny how people see you and want to be a part of it too. how lovely. he is doing w5r3 right now. poor bloke! i am also losing weight nicely with our friends over at the weight loss forum and am thinking of doing the nhs 12 week strength and flex plan...i am considering all options. i am playing everything by ear at this juncture as i have rather a lot of stuff going on. tomorrow i am mid week 2 for the second time. and though i found that actually it was still quite taxing, my BF said ''look at you, you've hardly broken into a sweat and you are far less red and not panting!!!'' so that told me. feelings are funny things. anyhow just wanted to say well done to everyone out there doing their 5ks and 10ks and half marathons etc and tell you i am here doing my thing too and i wont give up. i am a runner.
still in the game!: hi! just thought i would pop... - Couch to 5K
still in the game!
Oh crikey she's roped the BF in ๐ what a gal so rewarding to see you enjoying your new found fitness ๐๐๐
lol. yeah i really am going for it, as ever
Remember though still as important!!
Rest-Stretch-and thoroughly rehydrate and keep drinking the good ol water.....
Well done changing-woman you are most definitely a runner! Well done for getting your boyfriend to give it a try too๐๐ The more runners we get out there, the happier and healthier weโll be! ๐
hi david oh he's 16 years younger than me and much fitter so its a far less big of a deal to him.... but i am so proud of him for seeing me do it and hearing me complain and still doing it. it was nothing to do with me....he totally decided on his own. he just said ''you know your running programme, well i think i am gonna do it too.'' and he is. week 6 for him saturday. bless his heart. yes, i am a runner! woo hoo! i am still on a high from graduation! i cant get over the feeling of ...joy! its wonderful. i don't want to xx
Hi C-W, Good post!
My other half has expressed an interest in C25K (she want's the runner's high that she sees in me but which I'm not aware of)! We're waiting a month or so so that her training isn't interrupted by ice.
Well done you! Lovely youโve got the BF on board to. One of my work colleagues is now on week 3, and sheโs starting to really enjoy it. Keep on running changing-woman! ๐โโ๏ธ๐๐๐ผ
that's totally awesome re your friend. whats wonderful is to know i can do it... even if i think i can't at any given point... i must be able to cos i have!
Nice one C-W glad to hear your still running and enjoying it and the weight loss is going well. Great that your BF has decided to do it too, itโll be a nice hobby you can share together.....if he can keep up with you ๐ ๐โโ๏ธ. ๐โโ๏ธ
he just said, at this moment, 'wont it be fun when we can run round the park together, when i have done week nine... and lovely in the spring'... what a coincidence
Great to see youโre still out there...or *in* there ๐... running ๐
...and youโve dragged the BF in too! Is he on the treadmill too?
i find we talk about running... does anyone else find that?
I'll let you off now. Coaching your BF to run., accompanying him on C25K. Just give him enough time to recover. Mrs R has new knees so Doc says she can't run ,... or do martial arts so I'm safe She is a good swimmer but pools are closed, so I got her back into fitness and she has started aerobics - plus it's the only time she can avoid me taking about running...
Great going! And fantastic youโve got your boyfriend running too, just think, youโll be running round that park in the spring!
There's no stopping you now ๐ช๐ป good stuff getting the other half running too!
Me too ! I don't post often, but I check in regularly to see how everyone is doing .I still run 3 times a week, slowly, but I'm up to 40 mins and it's manageable , having never run before in my life .Also had my 42 year diaversary! It is a thing , I've been a Type 1 diabetic for 42 years .Anyway, sorry for hi jacking your post ,but I guess I'm a runner too!
I missed this - I saw you broke a weight loss milestone. Snap. I am now under 90Kg! - admittedly on a Saturday after a 6.4K run and before breakfast - but it still counts! Enjoy your runs.
Thank you rennur
I am not really calorie counting but I do try to limit biscuit intake to evening. only Once working from home ends (July, September, October????) I will have to avoid the cakes and biscuits that people bring in for their dog's birthday or whatnot, apart from lemon drizzle cake, and maybe carrot cake or maybe chocolate hobnobs or maybe NOOOO, BE STRONG.
