Not a smart move

Decided to try a different route tonight which included some rougher terrain and more inclines, really struggled in the heat, it was 32 degrees and half way round, in the middle of a wooded area I thought I was going to pass out...decided I needed some walk breaks to recover, ended up doing my longest distance but don't think it was smart in this heat, think I'll leave my next push until it cools down a bit !

Well done for trying though. We only learn our own limits by trying new things. Learning from it is what counts and maybe give the same run a go when it does cool down. Good job.

Surviving it will have done some good work on your fitness and endurance, well done. No clue what 32C is but it’s been ‘kin hot here so I’m guessing about that hot. Well done for not quitting and thinking on your feet with some extra walk breaks.

32C is 90 degrees Farenheight, no wonder you struggled so much in the heat. They say that tomorrow Friday is to be called FURNACE Friday, this is because the temperature in East Anglia, south-east and some parts of southern areas of England including London is to go up to near 100F 38C, not good weather for running.

Good weather for sitting in a beer garden... drinking orange juice of course 😇

The latest update for Friday is that it's not going to be as hot as they thought it would be on Thursday, more like 33C rather than 37c, still far too hot for running.

Oh my!! I’m ever so pleased it’s my rest day!! 😱! It will probably be a bit of a challenge just walking! Thanks forewarned! ❤️

Well done for getting through it Dawnie! Very sensible to take the walk breaks in this heat x

Good lord! I can’t imagine how everyone is coping in the rest of the country. We are generally 10 degrees cooler here and even then i have to get up at 5.30 to run - so i don’t expire! (It’s pretty humid by the sea so always feels hotter than you would expect from the temperature). I don’t consider running in more than 16 degrees - but you did it in 32...?! I take my straw hat off to you!

I wouldn't say run.....dragged myself round more like it 😊

Wow doing your longest distance is a great achievement for today and in that heat! So congratulations to you. Enjoy your rest day(s)! I think it’s sensible not to push too hard and adjust as needed in these climates! We can only try to make every run a fun run!! But sometimes the elements stack against us! But you did tackle it! Go you!! ❤️
