On 27 May I went out at around 10am and did W1R1.
On 24 July, I went out at around 11am and did W9R3.
Iβd decided beforehand that I was going to do 5k. It wasnβt going to be pretty, it wasnβt going to be quick.
There were several times on my way round where I thought I was just going to stick to 30 minutes after all. I turned around before halfway (just because I couldnβt be bothered crossing the road) and then I figured if Iβd got back to my starting point Iβd be happy (probably around 35 minutes or so). I wouldβve been happy just doing my 30 minutes.
But I did it, I kept pushing and I got to the 5k. Apple Watch says 41:41, Strava says 40:43, so not quite the sub 40 I wanted, but Iβm sure it wonβt take me that long to get there now (especially when it starts to get cooler again!)
Not quite sure what I want to do now. I donβt want to be running any longer distances yet (after the few weeks of consolidation). Iβm not even sure if I want to do another 5k anytime soon. Iβm just gonna stick to doing 30 minute runs for a while I think, maybe try and change up my route etc.
I know itβs been said loads before but the support from hereβs been amazing, keep giving it to everyone else who comes through these doors.
For now Iβve got a dissertation to finish writing to complete my masters degree, then work out how Iβm going to fit running in around working full time! Im sure it canβt be much harder than the year Iβve already done.
Happy running everyone and happy Tuesday.
