Slower than the average snail but off the IC 🐌 πŸ›‹ πŸŒπŸ›‹πŸŒ

First run in nearly two weeks after niggly thigh became too noisy to ignore. Kept it really slow and steady and then slowed it down some more. New Brooks shoes fitted like gloves and felt as light as a feather. Thigh complained for first 10 minutes but then seemed to pipe down a little. My breathing started to go haywire at about 17 minutes and I nearly went into panic mode but managed to slow it down again.

Thought I might need to stop but I did the 30 minutes and 3.8k, I’ll take that after 2 weeks off.

It was really humid out there even at 6:30am and I was dripping and doing my wet veg impression again πŸ’¦πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ When I got home I asked my eight year old, β€˜do I look like a beetroot?’ β€˜Yes,’ she replied, β€˜but beetroots aren’t sweaty are they??’ Outta the mouths of babes as they say! πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…

Anyway, we’ll see what next, thigh is still whinging at me so not making plans other than to see how the thigh feels tomorrow and then the next day and so on. It was great to get back out though. It’s a start. πŸ‘

Thanks Ang. It was so hot! I think I missed the slightly cooler snap whilst I was on the IC! πŸ˜‚

Slightly cooler! Still too hot for me but we did manage two 4k runs last week. Going out at 8.30 tonight but it won't be 4k!! πŸ˜…

Have a good run, slow and steady is the only way. πŸ‘

Well done owmeknees! Me and my wife both decided not to run yesterday as just too hot even after 9.30 pm. Glad you did your run. Well done for listening to your body and taking it easy.

This morning I woke up aching all over. You don’t think it’s got anything to do with taking my 4yo to a trampoline park yesterday do you? πŸ˜‚

Thanks Simon. Hope they had air con at the trampoline park! The joys of the summer hols. Happy running, (and bouncing!) πŸ˜‚

No air con apart from in the loos!

FYI (and anyone else’s) running and bouncing do NOT use the same muscles πŸ˜‚
