I sprained my ankle badly 3 weeks ago and feel ready to go out again. For anyone that's had a 3 week break or longer - should I ease into it or just go for the full 30 minutes? Thanks
Advice please - just come off the IC - Couch to 5K

Ease back... that way, you find out it all is well or not.
After I broke my ribs last October, I used my elliptical cross trainer to keep myself from seizing up, until I could head out again, but when I did it was very slowly and tentatively...with an ankle injury, you really are talking impact, so just taking it steady would be my advice.
Also, choose a flattish, fairly gentle route maybe.. no tree routes or big bumpy patches... as ever, slow and steady, and keep us posted ?

Yes, I'd ease back into it, I might even do one of the early C25K runs, perhaps week 4 or something, just for the first run to test the water so to speak. You can always do a longer run next time. Enjoy, welcome back x

Thanks for the responses ... I decided to take it slow, listen to my body and only do 30 mins. So I took Laura with me and it was fine. First 5 mins challenging with leaden legs and fiery lungs but settled in after that and it felt great to be out running again.

Good for you! A slow return with no particular plan would ease you back into running
It feels good to be back out there doesn't it! 🙂
