There’s the plans and bridge to 5k on here. The Nike app is excellent once you can run 10 minutes, so that’s well within you. You feed in your height and weight and how far a long run is for you and it takes care of the rest. You could plan to run 10k in 6 weeks to 6 months, choose how many days you run, and it will get you over the line... all for free.

As an afterthought it may be worth hitting a six week 5k plan on it first as that will have you running nearer to 10k some days anyway.

I can’t do 5k in 30 minutes either (I'm a bit older than you). It doesn’t really matter. Get over to the Bridge to 10k forum for podcasts and advice on running further.

Age is not a problem, you”ll be fine 💪👍😃. Just keep going slowly and things will strengthen

Couch to 5k+ Stepping Stones podcasts next up. Do them til you can run them with ease. The music is awful but they kick ass!

Then it’s over to the 10k community where you can sign up for the Ju-Ju Ten is the Magic Number programme. Our very own Ju will guide you through the course. Go and watch her inspirational weekly movie clips 🙂

After successfully completing Ten is the Magic Number you could do the even more kick-ass but fun Sami Murphy podcasts 💪👍😃. Hundreds of original tracks and it’s free. Hours and hours of voice coached running Admitted she’s not that chatty but she tells you what to do and when 😃

Well if it's any consolation I graduated 4th June and still can't get 5k in 30 mins...(I'm a long way off 😊) takes some us longer than others but Just enjoy what you've achieved so far 😊😉your doing a grand job 👍

Time is a number... getting out there and doing it is better health and extra years in this world. The 30 will come at some point. This plan is based on raise your heart rate for 30 minutes a few times a week medical advise, and you’re doing that weeks after graduation... that’s great to see and I gotta say well done.

I did the same run as you today.

I’m younger (23) and I did about 3.7k 😂if I’m on a treadmill I can do around 4.2k.

See you in post graduation ey!
