Hill walk yesterday W7R3 today

Couchto5k is definitely building up my stamina. Had a good seven hour hillwalk yesterday and wondered if I'd be fit to do W7R3 this morning. Surprising myself I managed without any problems - although I'm still finding the first five minute of the run the hardest. Going to take a two day rest now before tackling W8R1on Friday. Can't believe I've got this length - what a great programme to follow. If I can do it anyone can !!

Good for you! Good luck!

Two days rest is a good idea at this stage. You are putting your body under extra strain and it will appreciate an extra day of rest.

Yes best to be sensible and at this stage I don't want any injuries. Thanks for responding - always good to know what others think.

I take ages to warm up, always has. It takes me about 16 mins. I have to do it before I start my run proper🙂.

I do the five minute brisk walk but maybe I need another few minutes to get going. Good to get others thoughts and advice - really supportive - thank you .

Thank you Lillybeth30mins - it's such a great feeling just getting out there and doing something you never thought you were capable of - albeit at a snail's pace !

Awh thank you Fabulous450 . It's amazing - to me - that I'm actually running - just shows what you're body is capable of if you get the right programme. Can't wait to get back out there on Friday morning
