Chuffed. I’ve struggled to keep on running since graduating and the heat isn’t helping.
But I got back to it a couple of weeks ago ( just two runs then done) but I couldn’t face the thirty min non stop. So rather than jacking it in altogether I decided to do some interval running.
First run I did 3 x 10 min with 3 min walks between
2nd run I did 1x20 min 3 min walk 5 min run
Today ( drum roll please) I got up at 7 ( yes on a Sunday!!) and have completed a 30 min non stop run. Delighted. Hot. Sweaty. Shattered. But delighted.

Above and beyond! Well done - I’m a night owl, not an early bird, so that’s commitment!
I feel I’m getting progressively sweatier through the programme - I think my pores have worked out what to do now to cool me and leap into action. Then add the hot weather and hot flushes..... 😅💦💦💦
Me too! I graduated about 6 weeks ago and a combination of heat (I know we shouldn’t moan lol), life and a “void” that has appeared has meant I’ve not run as much. By void I mean that I’m still not reaching 5k all the time so have tried to push to consolidate but where after that?? I’ve read so many moving forward to the 10k but for me I don’t think that’s right at the mo...so now I’m floating in my own little void😊😊
Floating in your own little void sounds perfect! I'm doing the 5k+ podcasts at the moment now, they've given me direction and I feel I'm not floundering around in the dark anymore not knowing what to do.
